3D DISTO Shipping Instructions
To ensure that your 3D DISTO unit arrives safely for evaluation, please follow the guidelines below. Proper packaging and shipping will help avoid any damage during transit, which could affect the final trade-in value.
Step 1: Prepare Your Unit
- Ensure all components are included: Make sure you have gathered the required accessories (charger, target plates, relocation tags, offset target, remote, USB drive, USB cable, and original red carrying case or Pelican case).
- Clean the unit: Wipe down your 3D DISTO and its accessories with water and a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris. Do not use any harsh chemicals or cleaning agents.
- Check the condition: Ensure your unit is in the best possible condition, as any damage may affect its value.
Step 2: Secure Packaging
- Use original packaging (if available): If you still have the original packaging for the 3D DISTO and accessories, use it for added protection.
- If the original packaging is not available:
- Choose a sturdy box that is large enough to hold the unit and all accessories securely.
- Wrap the unit in bubble wrap or a similar cushioning material to protect it from shock.
- Separate each accessory with padding to avoid contact that could cause damage.
- Fill any empty spaces in the box with packing material (e.g., Instapak or Bubblewrap) to prevent shifting during transit.

Step 3: Label and Seal the Package
- Label the box clearly with the return address provided.
- Seal the box securely with strong packing tape, especially around all seams to ensure it stays intact during shipping.
- Security tape is recommended, but not required.
Step 4: Shipping
- Print the shipping label: Once you receive your confirmation email from Advanced Dimensions, it will include a prepaid shipping label. Print this label and attach it to your package.
- Drop off your package: Take the securely sealed package to any authorized shipping location for the carrier indicated on your shipping label (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL).
Step 5: Tracking and Confirmation
- Track your shipment: Keep a record of the tracking number, which will be included in your shipping label. You can monitor your package’s progress via the carrier’s website.
- Confirmation of receipt: Once we receive your unit, you will get an email confirming its arrival at our facility. The evaluation process will begin shortly afterward.
Important Notes:
- Return Shipping Costs: Return shipping is covered by us if your unit qualifies for the buyback program. If the unit does not qualify, return shipping fees may apply.
- Damaged Shipments: Please ensure your package is well-protected and insured (if needed). Advanced Dimensions is not responsible for units damaged in transit due to inadequate packaging.
